ARS Nominating Task Force Seeks New Board Candidates

The Board Nominating Task Force, consisting of ARS Vice-President Jody Miller, former Board member Barb Prescott, and Administrative Director Susan Burns, is already at work looking to fill a handful of Board vacancies for 2024. They are assembling a list of passionate and hard-working recorder players who have skills to help further the mission of the American Recorder Society. Individuals committed to promoting the recorder and who have time and energy to help provide outstanding experiences for members of the recorder community may make excellent candidates. Board members have the opportunity to make a significant impact by helping create and implement member benefits driven by the needs of the organization.

The ARS benefits from the wide range of talent within the Board. Candidates may have prior experience working with a nonprofit organization, have legal or financial expertise, or have an interest in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within a large organization such as ours.  Board members attend two Board meetings each year; they also serve on committees to keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly.

If you or someone in your chapter may have what it takes to help the American Recorder Society thrive, reach out to the Task Force by clicking here.  Board elections will be held Spring 2024.
